How do you insert a new address into the middle of a label template in Microsoft Word 2007?

I am trying to figure out how to insert another address into the address label template. For example, if all of the addresses were already filled in in each of the label boxes, how do I not change the order and insert a new address somewhere in the middle of what is already there? It does not seem to let me just tab over to create a new blank label in the document.

You just described one of the reasons for the Mail Merge feature, where the data is kept in another file format, such as Excel or Access (among many others) where it can be manipulated independent of the label format.

I don't know how to direct you to Mail Merge in Word 2007, but in Word XP (2002), it would be the Tools-%26gt;Letters and Mailings-%26gt;Mail Merge Wizard.

Be aware that it's not going to be a five-minute exercise, and the real payoff will come the second or third time you use the external mailing list.

Good luck, and keep a sense of humor

Add the new address to the list in the address SOURCE file, not the template.

In Word, click on the Help Tab and read all about Labels AND Mail Merge.
