Having a problem with Microsoft word!?

I have 2 people with computers that are running microsoft 2000. They did something to it where it now displays a document they created every time they open the program. How do you remove this? They either have to manually delete all the contents of the document or open a template to start a new document. Ive tried using the help feature and browsed the toolbars but no luck.

Try repairing or reinstalling office, sometimes files get corrupted.

Go to panel control add/remove programs, office and click on "change" then select repair.

If it doesn't work select reinstall.
try going to View, then hit ctrl and F1
